My Latest:

I moved into my new home in Winnsboro, TX, and I am still creating one of a kind, amazing art to wear. The holidays are coming so I have created some pieces with prices accessible to most people. I hope you have a delightful holiday season where you are all safe and surrounded by loved ones.

The Art Scarf

I found myself housing a great number of scraps and decided each one was a silk brush stroke, so I began to figure out ways to make something useful out of them. What I've come up with is the Art Scarf, which is a bunch of silk scraps cut into leave shapes and stitched down to a strip of fabric. It looks like a silk boa. People are loving them. But, before they buy them I recommend that they take into consideration that they will continue to shred. It's a truly interactive work of art.

Splash Necklace

Another adaptation as the scraps as wearable paintings is the Splash Necklace. I take long torn scraps and twist them around each other, until I have two or three different colored strands plied together. Then I tie thin strips of other scraps in square knots around the plied necklace. Then I add beads, charms, buttons, and shells. Each one is unique. They are selling very well, and people really enjoy them.

 Skyscraper Scarf

My silk company came up with a new silk weave. I found it by dying it, washing it and hemming it, then dragging a paint brush lightly over the raised part of the silk, the fabric begins to look very interesting. I call it the Skyscraper Scarf, because it looks like the sunlight reflecting off a downtown skyscraper.
